Club Snapshots

M-ASA currently operates two facilities, each with a club house, hangar, trailer tiedown area, sailplane tiedown area, and numerous aircraft.

Each facility has at least one towplane, a Schweizer 2-33 sailplane for initial training, a more advanced two seater for intermediate and advanced training, and several single place sailplanes for the use of the members. In addition, a large number of members' privately owned sailplanes are kept at the fields.

The snapshots below show some of the sailplanes, facilities, and activities at M-ASA's airfields.

Club Equipment and Facilities

Here are some snapshots of club sailplanes and facilities. All members with appropriate pilot qualifications are entitled to rent this equipment during regular operations on a first-come, first-served basis. If others are waiting on the ground, pilots may use the two-seaters for 1 hour, and single seaters for 90 minutes. Costs are quite low compared to private rentals.

Member Owned Sailplanes

Many members have their own sailplanes which they keep in M-ASA hangars, in trailers, or at the tie-down areas. Many members keep the costs low by sharing ownership and expenses among a group of partners.

More Snapshots

Many club members have taken interesting photos on the ground or in the air. We'll be posting these here on the website for your enjoyment.
